Moab Support Forum > entrada rag cannon pro 100 issue

I have read some of the posts here and can't find a solution. The printer has correct profiles, my monitor calibrated and I can't come close to matching what is on my screen. The prints come out muddy but if I print them on my cannon all in one it matches the screen. Any solution to this problem?

Pat,
Are you using the recommended media setting for each Moab paper? You can find them listed on the profile download page. This can definitely alter the look of the print even if you're using the correct print profile.

Of course i'm using the correct settings I started to use Cannon's print studio pro plug in but still off a little. I had to throw an s curve to adjust the print. I shouldn't have to do this but at least its getting better.

The PRO-100 does sometimes present a challenge when printing on Entrada, or other cotton papers, as the dye inks are not optimized for matte papers. You can verify the profile accuracy with a soft proof in Photoshop (View>Proof Setup>Custom and check the box for 'Simulate Paper Color' ) to see if the density/color changes you're seeing are created by the profile or the printer output.

Also, when printing from Photoshop, have you tried testing with both Perceptual and Relative Colormetric (with black point compensation) rendering intents? For some images there will be a noticeable difference between the two.

On your Canon all-in-one printer you are using a stock canon profile and media setting- if you use the same settings on the PRO-100 does your print improve?
