Moab Support Forum > Issues with Canon pro 1000 & Moab Slickrock Metallic Silver 300

Hi, I am having issues with Moab Slickrock Metallic Silver 300 printed on Canon Pro 1000. I created my own icc profiles using my x-rite and also new pair settings through canon media configuration tool based on the thickness of the paper. While I get perfect color rendition in every print the issue is that I am consistently getting printer marks on the paper and its skews the paper during the final leg of its printing journey.

I presently use Qimage

I tried numerous settings like printer abrasion - ON and OFF
changed types of paper... and also used advanced settings of med-high and high (based on which I created my media profile) and use manual feed.

After using numerous sheets, I am just wondering if any of the members managed to solve this issue.

this is the first I am encountering this issue with any set of papers with my Canon pro 1000. Would love to hear the members thoughts on the possible issues...

thank you.

The paper skews at the end of the print because one corner of the sheet is not flat, and it is caught by the printhead during the final few passes. This kicks the sheet to one side, and creates the ghosted/off center image you're seeing. Before printing, lay the sheet on a flat surface and see if any of the corners are lifted. If so, gently curl that corner the opposite direction so the sheet lays flat. This should solve the issue.
