I tried profiling SMP260 with less worse results than the generic profile you offer. I need to create a profile for colorgate rip else I would have used the generic profile. specifically, I can't get the dense black and brights you have in the profile.
Do you have instructions on how to profile using basiccolor - how you created the generic profile?

First, what printer are you using?
Second, if you're using a rip, your shadows and highlights will depend on the base media you selected and the linearization adjustments made (if any). Shadow density is a direct result of ink load on the paper. I would recommend starting with the same media setting we used for our profile.
I don't have instructions on how to use Basiccolor, you'll have to contact them for support on their software.

it would be great to know what number of patches / target you use, at least. it would be great service for customers who want to get the best out of the media and do not succeed in other ways. will reduce trial and error as well.

When using XRite hardware and i1 Profiler software, the optimal patch sets are 1877 or 2033, these include the largest number of neutral gray patches. Over 2000-2100 patches is generally overkill and doesn’t improve the quality or gamut of the resulting profile. I don’t know how the basiccolor software builds charts, they may alternate recommendations for patch sets.
