Moab Support Forum > Best way to feed and Settings for Metallic Silver 300 & Epson P800

I am trying to figure out the best settings and feed method for the Slick Rock Metallic Silver 300 paper (8.5X11) and the Epson P800 Printer. I have the ICC profile installed. I find if I use the sheet feeder the paper is a bit too thick for it and I get roller marks. I tried to use the manual feed tray, but then I am not able to select anything with a luster finish for the type of paper on the LCD screen. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Most of this question is related to the entries I can make on the printer, but I will likely be printing from a Mac (10.13) using lightroom. Thus any tips on that end are appreciated as well.
Much thanks from a relative newbie, Mark

The Slickrock Silver is thicker than the Premium Glossy media setting you use when printing, which is likely what causes your roller marks. To correct this, in the Print Settings window from Lightroom select 'Advanced Media Control' from the pull-down menu, and under Paper Thickness enter 4 (or 5) and make a test print.

You can use any paper in the manual feed tray- the setting on the printer LCD is overridden by the print settings on your computer, so you can load the Slickrock and not enter a setting on the printer screen.

Thank you for the reply. My apologies if this follow-on question is duplicating on the forum. I typed it up once but did not see it when I review the post.
I've loaded the paper using the front fine art and selected the ICC profile inside of Lightroom. Under the Print settings, what "Media Type" would work best. I was thinking of using "Metallic Photo Luster".

Thank again for the help and reply.

The media type setting for each Moab paper is listed on the ICC download page. Click on ICC Profiles (at the top of the page) then select your printer. In the chart that opens, the Moab paper names are listed on the left, media settings in the center column.
