Moab Support Forum > Rich Black Canon Pixma Pro-100

I've been trying to print black and white photos on the Moab Somerset Velvet, and the prints are coming out streaky and faded. I've tried using a variety of settings (fine art paper, matte paper, high quality, standard quality, etc), including the Moab ICC profiles, but every print comes out the same. The issue doesn't happen with color prints.

The printer handles all other media great, printing rich blacks on matte photo paper, glossy paper, etc, so I think it is just this Somerset Velvet quality that is the issue. Do you have any advice on what settings to use to achieve a rich black? I've run through ten sheets doing color tests alone.

The Moab Somerset Museum Rag prints better with dye inks (found in the Canon Pro-100 and Epson Artisan 1430). I would recommend the Museum Rag for fine art printing on those printers.
